CHS Football banquet will be held on Saturday, December 6th.

DSC_0465The Camden Lions were defeated in the 2nd round of the TSSAA state playoffs & end their 2014 season with a 9-3 overall record.

Congratulations to the players, coaches and everyone associated with the team for a great season. Best wishes to the seniors & special thanks for their leadership and effort all season.

Lions shut out Panthers 41-0

DSC_0038The CHS Lions breezed thru the first round of the state playoffs by defeating a wounded Lewis County Panther team 41-0. The Lions scored early & often with a 21 point 1st quarter and a 20 point 2nd to let the young Lions play the 2nd half.

The Lions will face the Milan Bulldogs next Friday at Wright Field at 7 PM. Let’s all get into the stadium early & cheer our Lions on to a big 2nd round win!

Lions beat Creek Wood 21-7

DSC_0023The CHS Lions traveled to Creek Wood for a rare Thursday night game & brought back a big road win, 21-7. Congrats to the team for a great final regular season game, finishing with an 8-2 overall record. Special congratulations to the offense, offensive line and Deshawn Brown for a rushing total of 2084 yards! Deshawn had another huge performance tonight with 25 carries for 240 yards and 3 TD’s!

With the Waverly loss, the Lions will fill the #1 spot in our quad of the TSSAA state 3A playoffs. Lewis County will roll onto Wright Field Friday night for a 7 PM start to the “Round 1″ playoff game.

Tigers beat Lions 34-31

The Camden Lions dropped a close one at Waverly last week, but have to get ready for the surgin’ Rebels headed to Wright Field. Stewart County defeated Lewis County & will be looking to upset the 2014 Lions Senior Night. Let’s all get into our seats early to support our Seniors!
