Lady Lion’s Softball Players Named to Jackson Sun’s All West TN Team

Camden Softball Players Sara Hooten and Sara Florence have been named to the Jackson Sun’s 2015 All West Tennessee Softball Team. CHS Players named to the All West Tennessee Honorable Mention Squad were Sebyn Brockman, Hannah Prince and Hannah Sampson. Congratulations Lady Lions!

Camden Teams Bring Home Several District Awards

Camden High School Senior Kristen Capps has been named as the Girls Basketball MVP in District 11AA for the 2014-15 Season. Lady Lions who have been named to the all-district team are Raegan Taylor, Jenna Taylor and Karlie Hudson.

All Tournament Team selections from Camden are Kristen Capps, Karlie Hudson and Brittany Minor. Camden Girls Coach Renee Trull Wyatt is the District 11AA Coach of the Year.

Lions Win On Last Second Buzzer Beater

A last second 3-point shot by Camden’s Hunter Vick gives the Lions a 62-60 District 11AA win over Hickman County Wednesday Night. Camden trailed 60 to 59 when Vick made the 3-pointer as time expired. The win advances Camden to a semifinal game in the 11AA Tournament Friday Night at 8:30 against Waverly. Waverly defeated East Hickman Wednesday Night 68 to 30. The remainder of the District 11AA Tournament will be played at Creek Wood High School and the Camden Lady Lions will play the opening game Friday afternoon at 4pm against East Hickman.

GIRLS’ H.S. BBALL: Camden claims No. 1 seed in 11-AA

As reported in the Jackson Sun “When the season started, Camden girls’ basketball coach Renee Wyatt had questions about the youth of her team and how quickly those young players could fit into their new roles for the Lady Lions.

All of Wyatt’s questions have been answered this season as Camden finished the season 21-4 (15-1) after beating Fairview on Thursday 58-38.”
