Camden Lions lose to Lexington in District 11AA Tourney
The Camden Lions hustled from tip-off to the final horn, but the Lexington
Tigers were too much in the semifinal round of the Region 6 District 11AA
Tournament held last night in Lexington. The final score was Lexington 63,
Camden 39.
The Lions came out ready to play and had one of their best periods early.
Defense was sharp on both sides of the gym, and the first period ended with
a 16-all tie. The Lions pressed hard in the second and traded baskets in a
close game, but just before half the Tigers lit it up with three 3 pointers
and led 34-24 at the break. After half, the Tigers overpowered the Lions,
and both teams emptied the bench in the fourth. The final score of 63-39
puts Camden in the consolation game against McKenzie Saturday night at 6:30
PM.
